It takes a while to get everybody to Skull Island, about 70 minutes, but it's time extremely well-spent.. A movie weighed down by a numbskull screenplay (by rookie Gary Whitta) and a careless lack of attention to details.. Taken is nonsense, but it's terrifically entertaining nonsense, especially in the midst of the January movie doldrums. It provides the reckless thrills that Quantum of Solace lacked.. Really, it's just another prophet-in-the-wilderness tale -- not nearly as bad as those traile...
